Capital Studios wins at the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Awards!

Eleven new buildings and key real estate transactions were recognized Wednesday evening during the Austin Business Journal’s 2015 Commercial Real Estate Awards gala. Capital Studios was awarded the honor of best Multifamily Development (for Rent):

The local nonprofit Foundation Communities is committed to creating housing in which families can succeed, and Capital Studios is a great example of how it’s living up to its mission. Foundation Communities owns or manages more than 2,100 affordable apartments on 15 properties, but with the new Capital Studios just a block from the Capitol building, this project has got to be high on any resident’s wish-list. The architects at Dick Clark + Associates had quite a time designing a building that was burdened with three Capitol view corridors but they came through in style. Capital Studios welcomed its first residents in December 2014. Construction crews worked under a tight deadline to ensure the project was finished before the year’s end so it could qualify for essential tax breaks. The buyer broker was Matt Mathias of Mathias Partners, and the seller broker was at Tarantino Properties. Spaw Glass, Dick Clark + Associates, TBG Partners, Big Red Dog Engineering, MJ Structures, Gracy Title Company, attorney A. Rick Hightower and financier Enterprise Community Investment Inc. also came to the table.

Many thanks to Austin Business Journal and the Capital Studios team!

Big Changes Coming for S. Lamar

The FCAD team, in collaboration with Dick Clark + Associates, is proud to announce the latest news on Bluebonnet Studios. The 107-unit project is currently on track for a site and building plan approval on May 1!

Bluebonnet Studios is also tracking its sustainability ratings closely, and is aiming for a 5-star AEGB rating as well as LEED Platinum and Enterprise Green Communities. We are very excited to see the process coming along and can’t wait to document the newest addition to the South Lamar corridor in Austin.

Many thanks to our awesome team:
